In Altearth we do not refer to races, we refer to the nations. The word comes from the Latin natio which means something like “a people.” Americans will get a good sense of the connotation if they think of the Iriquois Nation or the Sioux Nation. It can encompass a wide range of tribes within it, but a Sioux is not an Araphoe, nor do any of the Iriquois belong to the Nez Perce.
